In 2002 Combined Churches in Action (CCIA) engaged in a Community Development programme in Clarens, in the townships of Kgubetswana and Kanana. With contributions from the local community and business in and around Clarens, we were successful in building a haven for these children in 2010, called Tshepong.

This committee (to a large extent a DRC group) in the past co-ordinated the youth and children's outreaches.
During 2010 this group initiated the efforts to build retirement facilities in Clarens.
During 2016 this initiative started as an outgrowth of Bana ba Hlokang.
Early on this committee was formed to deal with the social needs in the community not addressed by other groups.
2016 the educational aspects previously dealt with by Social Concerns were taken over by this committee.
